The One For All SV9310 is similar in appearance to an on-glass car phone antenna. It’s a simple unobtrusive design which takes up little space and looks tidy in appearance. In practice the SV9310 works well as a Freeview DVB-T and analogue TV antenna, but with a few limitations.
Firstly, it isn’t a directional beam antenna, so it works better in locations where ghosting and multipath reception are not significant issues. Secondly, the 18dB amplifier overloads easily so viewers who live close to a TV transmitter may suffer patterning of analogue TV pictures and Freeview picture breakup.

In common with the other One For All antenna products tested, the inbuilt 18dB signal amplifier had very poor immunity to interference. Mobile phones in the same room caused noticeable interference. In addition, the amplifier introduced noticeable amounts of noise onto UHF loop through devices; deteriorating the picture quality of through-connected VCRs and Sky boxes.
The SV9310 worked fairly well as a DVB-T antenna, receiving all Freeview transmissions from nearby TV transmitters.
For horizontally polarised signals it was necessary to fold down the antenna so it was around 15 degrees above horizontal, which seemed to give the best results. When used in this manner, the antenna became much more directional and this helped to reduce interference.
DAB antenna performance was poor, worse than with the telescopic aerial supplied with our test Evoke-2 DAB radio. The antenna appears optimised for UHF TV frequencies and although it received local DAB broadcasts, it failed to receive fringe DAB signals from London at our test location in Newbury.
